Utilities are the most democratic features in Bangkok's built landscape. The same tangle of wires wraps its way through slums and past shiny condominium towers. Blissfully ignorant of attempts to control them with the imposition of design, utilities nevertheless exhibit form, materiality, and meaning far beyond their humble moniker.
